SOOIE! The 8th Annual Mauldin BBQ Competition Cook-Off is in the books as the most successful of all the previous events. There were a lot of last minute changes due to Hurricane Florence that effected both the Mullins event as well as Mauldin. A big event like this just not "just happen". It takes a year of continual meetings and changes are inevitable. We not only made it through, but ROCKED it with the biggest attendance ever! Thank you Mauldin and the surrounding communities for your contributions and patronage. Of course, a cook-off will not happen without our Professional Cook Teams. WOW! They really showed out! Friday night with "Anything Butt" ….which is anything but pork which they sold to the crowds. Then on Friday, the teams cooked pulled pork, ribs, and brisket for competition scoring by our certified, Senior, and Master judges. I would like to honor our top 5 teams in Butts and Ribs.

Thank you everyone for your participation and allowing me to have my 1st try at officially Marshalling an event. Considering all that we dealt with the past few weeks, we had an incredible event. You are the best FAMILY one could ask for.
South Carolina IS the Barbeque State! And Mauldin IS the place to be!
