On behalf of Thunder Tower Harley Davidson and Carolina Outdoor Cooking, we would like to thank all of you who joined us for the “HOT” fun this past weekend. We hope you enjoyed the entertainment and stunt show. It made for an interesting afternoon.

To the cook teams…you were really tested in the heat this weekend and produced some great BBQ. We appreciate your patience and cooperation with the exit process. That type of flexibility and cooperative approach enables us to continue with fitting this event into the Days of Thunder anniversary weekend activities. I sincerely thank you for your support and help in making this event a success.

Special shout out to the SCBA judges who volunteered to assist in serving after judging. I know the benefitting cook teams were very appreciative.

Also special thanks to Lew Robinson, the assistant marshal, who went above and beyond with helping organize the cook teams on Friday. Thank you so much for your time and efforts.

Most of all, it takes a team to make this event happen. I want to express my true gratitude to Ken Hillard and Dawn Verbarg for partnering with Carolina Outdoor Cooking for this event. We could not ask for better partners and/or friends. We feel blessed to call you both.

As mention in an earlier post, with everyone’s hard work we were able to raise $1460.00 for our charity. I know our Homes for our Troops benefactor appreciates everything.
