Judges,
I look forward to working with each of you this coming weekend 4/22-4/23. This year looks to be a good time. We currently have 20 teams and others are inquiring.

There will be an Anything Butt contest Friday Night, however we (SCBA) will not be required to do anything for this event. You are invited to come out and enjoy the vast array of dishes prepared by the various cook teams. There will also be entertainment as they will have various Jazz musicians playing onstage at the lake. Bring your chair, blanket and cooler and enjoy yourself.

Saturday, we will judge both butts and ribs. We will gather in the sports complex located directly behind the Winthrop Coliseum. It is located at 1162 Eden Terrace, Rock Hill SC 29733. We will gather inside the large white tent located within the complex in front of the cookers. Sign in will begin at 8:00-8:30, judges meeting will begin at 9:00. Table captains will be assigned and brief their table on what is needed from each judge. The turn in times will be 10am for butts, and 11am for ribs. We will be passing out awards at 1 PM.

Saturday is an all day event concluding with a fantastic fireworks display. You are welcome to stay and enjoy the day’s entertainment; if you don't want to stay, you need to be out of the complex by 2 PM. All traffic leaving the area is stopped.

I will have Ziploc bags for your use. No bags will be allowed at the grazing table until everyone has had an opportunity to sample, this include participants of the novice table.
