Thanks to those of you who signed up to judge the 5th Annual BBQ Benefit for Boy Scouts on March 5, 2016, in support of the Henry Shelor District of the Boy Scouts of America, which includes Sumter, Lee, and Clarendon counties.
Official turn-in for Butts is 10:00 am, and Ribs is 11:00 am. The judge's meeting will begin at 9:00 am, so please be signed in by then. We will discuss information about the contest, go over judging duties, and present aprons and hats to those moving up in the SCBA ranks. If you have not done so already, please let me know ASAP if you are earning an apron or hat.
Reminders- If you have family cooking with a team at this event, you will not be able to judge, but you can perform other duties. Do not fraternize with any of the teams, or enter the cooking area on Saturday morning until all judging is officially over.

Judging will take place in the Agriculture building located in the Sumter County Fair Grounds @ 700 West Liberty Street, Sumter, SC 29154. Enter the fair grounds through the gate on Liberty Street adjacent to the Civic Center. The Ag building is a large metal structure that backs up to Liberty Street.
