No it is not true that the only time it rains we have a BBQ event! It didn't really matter to the cook teams, event folks and the public who cam out to sample anything-but Friday night and ribs and pork Saturday. The event sold out of samples both Friday and Saturday. Thanks to the cook teams for doing a great job and to the Mauldin staff and volunteers who helped serve the Q. Presenting the awards were Mauldin Mayor Dennis Raines and Event Cahir George McLeer, Jr..

Getting the call for Pulled Pork was:

1st Place - Boar's Nest BBQ, Doug Mills, Pitmaster


2nd place - Bold Branch BBQ Boys, Joe Hilliard, Pitmaster


3rd place - On The Spot BBQ, Ronnie Bishop, Pitmaster


In the ribs competition getting the call were:
Palmetto Q Crew. Jason Fleck, Pitmaster



Boar's Nest BBQ, Doug Mills, Pitmaster took second place and Bold Branch BBQ Boys, Joe Hilliard, Pitmaster took third place.
