The entry fee for this year’s BBQ competition is $225 and includes a complementary cook team breakfast, electrical service and one hose bib connection. Cash awards for Saturday’s sanctioned BBQ competition are: First Place $1,000, Second Place $500 and third Place $250.
In addition to Saturday’s SCBA sanctioned BBQ competition, there is an optional “Anything Butt” competition Friday evening at 7 pm. judged by a team of local experts. The entry fee for the “Anything Butt” competition is $50 with cash prizes of: First Place $500, Second Place $250 and Third Place $100.
Check-in starts at 12 noon on Friday, cooks meeting at 6 pm. with the “Anything Butt” turn in at 7 pm.
This year’s Hog on the Hill is part of “A Taste of Chester” initiative. In partnership with the City of Chester, other activities will include the spring kick off of the Farmer’s Market, kid's activities, live music, beer/wine tent, car shows, pig calling contest, and much more! Bring a chair, enjoy a BBQ picnic while listening to local bands or check out the local stores and let the kids enjoy rides and homemade ice cream in the spring time sun!
