HEY! When I tell friends I have the distinct privilege of judging BBQ in SC (I live in NC)and drive down to the "other" Carolina..I frequently am asked how much do I get paid?

I try to explain what multiple teams like Garland's do each week (as so well documented in
the article) to give judges the very best ounces to taste of 50 or so pounds of meat after a weeks worth of extreme effort for me to taste is...PRICELESS.

The cherry on top is the camaraderie, "esprit de corps", friendship,and just plain fun, or I wouldn't be doing it.

Every weekend...sun, rain, wind, cold, doesn't matter..Carpe Diem!!!
