We are only about a month away from the 3rd High On the Hog Festival and we are filling up with cook teams for June 6&7, Beaufort, SC. I already have 21 teams scheduled and it looks like another sellout of 30. The website is up and all registration forms are available.
We will be cooking butts and ribs, with the Grand Champion claiming $1200 and the Reserve Champion receiving $500 and both get our unique trophy. Total prize money has increased to $4700 and we are paying 5 places deep in the categories of Best Butt, Best Use of A Rib and the Best of Everything Lowcountry. That’s a total of 17 chances to bring home a check!!
The entry fee is again $225, and includes a case of butts, 10 pounds of ribs, and your choice of either 7 pounds of fresh shrimp or 10 pounds of chicken to help you get started on Friday night. Complete details on our website www.highonthehogbeaufort.com
Once we reach 30 teams we will start a waiting list, but don’t count on openings after 30.
