BACK TO BUSINESS MAGGIES v The U's

Posted by M64 on October 8, 2026, 8:58 pm

Will the international break have worked its magic on the lads, especially the strikers?

We need goals and clean sheets.

I am sure Pato has this in hand but as we are dealing with third tier players it will take time.

I spoke to Ben today in the club warehouse, no, I didn't know we had one either. He told me Brian Stubbs' granddaughter worked in the club shop. Can you imagine if we had Stubbs and Needham in defence today, that centre back pairing played in over 850 league matches for us.

Our clean sheets wouldn't be a problem today if they were still playing.

I'm going for a 2-1 home win. Sadly, I'll be in Austria getting ready to take part in the Three Countries Marathon as part of a relay team. Might not even get to see it on TV.

WE'RE THE ONE AND ONLY EXILES...GRRRRR

It is good to have a game to look forward to again.
The last two games I rather like to forget.
I am not thinking about us getting a clean sheet but I am looking at us actually scoring.
My 3-1 win prediction has not worked out so maybe it's time is now?
3-1 to Notts.

You dont know how much you miss it till theres nothing to watch.
My season has just resumed and fresh off a 6-1 hammering of my old club and I am upbeat and confident.

No suprises like Swedish gonna sick with my 2-0.
It will be nice to see 2 goals and a clean sheet to boot.

Good luck Maggie

Regards to all from a tad cooler but still mid 20s Espana

Much as I would like a big win for Notts, I see this as yet another tough test as newly promoted take recently relegated.

I suspect that they may be too strong for us but have enough belief in this team that I was going to predict a 1-0 win, but, in theusual County way of occasional suicidal defending I'll go for 1-1
