We may be one point off second, but the way we played in the second half against Walsall it might as well be twenty.
There is no doubt that was the worst performance so far under Gaffer Williams, it was appalling. What was worrying was the arguing amongst the players, not a good sign.
January cannot come soon enough, too many of these players have not made the step up to the 4th tier of English football and those that are ex- league players seem to have forgotten what the EFL is all about.
There is a clear difference in quality between this division and the National League. Everyone used to say there wasn't, that the top 8 or so clubs in the National League were good enough for the EFL, but over a season most of them, not all, will get found out and will be lingering near the bottom.
I'm sure for the owners the January transfer window cannot come soon enough.
Harrogate away should have been a straightforward three points but now you just can't tell.
The defence will just let us down again.
I'm going for a 2-1 away win, more in hope than anything else.
WE'RE THE ONE AND ONLY EXILES...GRRRRRRRR
Re: The Sulphurites v THE SLIP SLIDING AWAY MAGGIES.
We have lost the plot when we lost Palmer to injury. The signs were there already before he went missing. Well it is a higher league and it must be tougher by definition, one would think. That is probably true but our decline in performances are more evident to me. Win this by 3-1 and restore some faith.
Re: The Sulphurites v THE SLIP SLIDING AWAY MAGGIES.
That was horrible to say the least, absolutely shocking. Agreed with the players not stepping up. At this moment in time Baldwin in defence Crowley, Didzy, Longstaff Jones Mcari if he signs are probably the only ones who are definitely good enough. Just back from a visit to the lane with the beloved and sat and chatted to Jimmy and Jack which made me feel so much better. We’re gonna win 3-0 and hope it ain’t a false dawn again. Regards to all from a dreary East Midlans in the UK. Señor Fred
