After our shambolic display against Mansfield Town, we now have two victories under our belt and the table says we have played 15 gamers and got 30 points, anyone at the start of the season would have snatched your hand off for that return, two points per game...MEIN GOTT!
If they had said that to you after the 5-1 defeat to Sutton, which seems like decades ago now, you would have thought that they had escaped from the local mental asylum.
Having seen us at Gillingham and having watched our fairly easy demolition of Newport with about 4 players missing, it really is easy to get carried away when you think there are three automatic places for promotion this season instead of one.
Realism starts to set in when you think one will go to Mansfield, one will go to Stockport who narrowly missed out in the play-off final last season which will mean possibly Wrexham, Notts and a couple of others will be chasing the last automatic spot.
Wrexham have got up to third whilst misfiring for most of the season, they only sneaked home against Sutton.
Playing Notts though they will no doubt raise their game, and of course they have that well known goal threat Mullinpen.
This is a match where anything could happen, but I'm going to go for a repeat of last season and stick with 1-0.
Sadly, it coincides with me and Foxie running our 9th Frankfurt marathon so we will not be there. But I know we'll get to find out the result somehow, Foxie is very keen on something called the internet, honestly, I don't know where he gets all these ideas from.
WE'RE THE ONE AND ONLY EXILES...GRRRR
Re: THE BACK UP AND RUNNING MAGGIES v The Red Dragons
A good assessment of our season so far, Maggie. We look good value at the moment. I will go for a 2-1 win. NZ FRED is on a prediction hat trick. We just have to wait until he steps in and lays down the law.
Re: THE BACK UP AND RUNNING MAGGIES v The Red Dragons
I feel like Maculey on a hattrick but struggling for the ultimate. Not sure on this one but think we can really get at them and score goals has there defence is nearly as bad as ours. Going to put my head on the chopping block and go 3-1 win. Usual 3 am start then up again at 8am for the other final.
Regards to all from a very sunny NZ NZ FRED
Re: THE BACK UP AND RUNNING MAGGIES v The Red Dragons
Unsure as to why Wexham are "misfiring" whereas Notts have done more or less the same thing & are given a different comment.
Either way it looks like one of those games that either ends 0-0 or 5-4 so fingers crossed that it goes in the Magpies favour but as i don't like nail biters, I'll go for a 5-3 win for County!
