October is going to be a crucial month for Notts, the fixtures are tough to say the least starting with Swindon.
If we are still in the top three come November, I think we'll go up, but October could be our undoing.
I was at Colchester and for the second week running Stone played as many ball to the opposition as he did to his own side, and one awful error by him playing the ball too short led to their player stroking the ball into an empty net as Stone had decided to wander up the side of his goal.
His positioning for their direct free kick goal was all wrong too. We also gave them a third goal when Baldwin played a short ball backwards to his own goal.
The defence is weak I'm afraid at this level, shipping in 8 goals in 2 games is just not good enough.
Slightly worryingly, Williams didn't seem concerned by the defensive lapses in his post match speech.
Swindon are this league's top scorers, and they may put our fragile defence to the sword. I'm fearful we will lose this one. I'm going for a 3-2 home defeat praying that I am completely wrong.
Enjoyed the seesaw game but too many errors for my liking. Not convinced with Stone yet is he really a stronger keeper than Slocombe? time will tell. Got to do the rerun later so trying to dodge the score due to work. Home game so looking to the stars and a 2-0 win, how I havent got a clue. Regards to all from an indifferent NZ NZ FRED
Well, as Fred has picked the score i was going to go for, I'll go for 1-0 win. This on the basis of having lost while conceding far too many sloppy goals, sods law says The Maggies will probably follow up with a sterling defensive effort against a free scoring side!
