Having re-read the comment by Ross several times consider this; almost without exception, every country in Africa from Libya in the north to South Africa at the other end is corrupt. How many times do elections have observers? I know a Ghanaian who travels back home to organise construction work and her bemoans the fact he has to bribe so many people to get things done.
If you believe corruption is rife throughout the continent, is saying a doctored African passport a slur and if it is a fact as I contend it is, can you be racist by using the phrase doctored African passport?
Or have we all now been conditioned to believe that anyone that disparages a country or continent, without delving further into the veracity of the comment, is a racist.
In defamation law, when I worked in the High Court on The Strand, if you actually believed what you had said was true, you would be hard pressed to be sued for slander.
Most of us have said for the last two years that Enzio is lazy, it's the main criticism levelled at him.
As for the African part, that's completely wrong as his heritage is South American, not African.
What do you reckon Fred?
