I will be very happy to help you in any way so feel free to send me an email with questions for Pies Kitbag and I will do my best to give you answers.

Hi all,

As above I have been in contact with "Sir" Les Bradd and asked him if he was prepared to answer a few question and answers from the guys at Pies Kitbag. Les says as above any questions you care to ask he will endeavour to answer them for us.
I feel this is a great opportunity to get an insight not only to a true legend but life at Notts County over the years.

Jp It would not be possible to send them all on this forum but if you can suggest a way of collating them I told Les I could send them by e-mail and if characters allow post them on here afterwards.

Any and all thoughts considered and we can't afford to throw away a gift horse in the mouth.

I haven't seen Les for ages.He was very pally with the kids. I think someone of more, ahem, mature years ought to ask the questions though. I only saw him play twice. I was quite young at that time. I wonder if M64 could think of something.....

Cheers JP Thought you might be able to think of some more upto date questions not just about is playing career. Im sure Mr M and I can come up with something as we are both the elder statesmen so too speak.
Anything from Naggers, Swedish etc

NZ FRED, I am a little ashamed of not knowing much about Les' career at all.
I started supporting Notts in -73.
Great job of of you to sell him the idea to answer questions from our group in any event.

Well I must be old lol I started in 66 (a small child I might had) So did know a bit about him.
I was hoping for some more up to date questions re the takeover, peoples roll in it and the future of the club. I am sure he as a lot of stories to tell if we can think of a few questions. Was good to give the site a promotion and bring it to the attention of the club.

Sorry, coming late to this.

I saw Sir Les play for Rotherham against us and he scored the only goal in a 1-0 away win for the Millers.

Obviously I saw him when he came in 1967 and he is my all time favourite Notts player.

All good Mr M. Can you think of any questions I can submit? Anything personal to him or about his time at the club or the people he as worked with over the tears.
I am in the process of drawing some up but a few from everybody would be a bonus.

hello Fred,

Ask him,

1. At the start of the 1970/71 season after a 0-0 draw away to York on August 15th, travelling back on the team bus, did he think they would have such a fantastic season as they did and did he think they would go through the whole season unbeaten at home?

2. When Notts started winning that season and the home gates started climbing and we got over 10,000 for the fourth home match against Brentford, did he start to think something special was happening, bearing in mind the gates of 3 and 4,000 in previous seasons.

3. How special was that goal on August 30th 1975? Where does he rate it in his 125 league goals for Notts. I was still celebrating it 3 days later, I can't believe it is over 45 seasons ago, I have it on film on my computer, and Tim Bradd told me he has it on his telephone, and I don't think Tim was actually born when Sir Les scored it.

Did he play under Ron Fenton when Notts were
labelled ”Little UN”?
