Frankly I have to agree. Who in the right mind would sack a manager with 8 games to go and employ someone who only plays fancy football. It is no good in this league or the fourth now were in it, the rules of theses leagues are that we must be tough and strong. |
Do I believe we would have got out of it with Shaun? yes I do. I cant remember much of the season were we capitulated so badly at the end of the match. They should have left him in till the end and then sacked him if we went down.
If we had the budget he set last season what ever that might or not have been, then next season will be even less.
I do fear for the future of the club, anyone thinks it will be a walk in the park is sadly mistaken. Hope I'm proved wrong but cant see it.
As for my retained list well!!! If that is all they can muster then get rid of them all.
Mullins man of the match? the first time this season aint it? get rid I say, the captain should be leading from the front.
He is not the only one. Can we rebuild? I hate all the end of season clear outs and having to start again, but who or what do we employ? who would want to come? and who would want to stay?
In answer to your statement Mr M then yes WE HAVE TO FIND SOMEONE TO TAKE THE CLUB FORWARD.
Yes there aren't billionaires around that would want to invest but surely there is someone who wants to make the club a success.
Once they put his missus in charge then the writing was on the wall.
JP lets not blame Preston or anyone else for that matter, it is OURS and ours alone who blew it. The players weren't upto the task. You just dont lose a 1 goal lead in the 89th minute and also concede 3, that is criminal in anybodys book, and even worse in out situation.
Why didn't the manager chuck on extra defenders? we had them on the bench for god's sake (sorry for blasphemim) I'm steaming to say the least.
Lets all hope this isnt the end of our ONCE great club.
