First of all, my thanks to Senor Fred for stepping in whilst I was down under following the Lions and hello to all for a new season.

Secondly, two games in and one point, oh dear , not the start we were hoping for.

The second half against Wigan was a much improved affair and I was impressed with Gordon, how often did we say that last term.

In the second half I watched in amazement as some Notts players actually ram forward with the ball, a trait I know the manager is eager to encourage.

It's a relief to have a man in charge that has league experience and I think given time everything will come good if the players apply his philosophy. I'm still confident of the play-offs with Paterson in charge.

A win would be nice on Saturday, and I'm going for 1-0.
