Clever move by the owners to have someone that the players and fans can unite around and get behind. Michael Doyle has said on numerous occasions that it is his desire to take Notts back into the football league after captaining them out of it.

With Doyle in charge I feel a great deal heartened and believe we have a really serious chance of making the play-offs now.

Barnet, should under normal circumstances be food and drink to Notts, but we're so out of sorts who knows what may happen.
