got Ranger over his last year. It took forever and he would fuss at it every darn second! He was just a beast about it. It finally went away though. I know at one point we were using Gentacalm topical spray with Betamethasone Valerate and Gentimicin sulfate from the vet and he didn't like the taste but I think we were using something else also. I know the wound formed a big hard bump before it was gone. The lump is pretty much gone now. We will have had him 5 years on October 28 and three of those Autumns we have dealt with lick granulomas. I hope he doesn't get one this year because it is always a vet trip. We think he will be 8 this year, as far as the vet and the pound could figure out when we got him. He could be older though. He is showing more gray than the photo. I can't get into Facebook on my laptop so can't post a new photo yet.
