And he's the real parent. She only has anything to do with the children "for show" or to get out of doing housework/yard work. Matt does it all. Takes care of the kids, all the housework, takes care of their property, and manages construction for a regional utility company.

And she talks right in front of him about how he's not as smart as her & has no formal education and his parents were trash...

The only reason John and I could ever come up with as to why he puts up with it is because he doesn't want his kids raised the way he was. His parents divorced when he was about 5 and neither wanted him so he grew up being passed from one relative to another. The only real "home" he's ever known is the one he has with her.

I think some day he'll get fed uo enough to walk away though. No one can live like that forever...
