We got approx 6" of rain throughout the course of the day. The shoot went on though. Everyone was in rain coats/ponchos/trash bags and covered in mud but that didn't stop them!

(I was perfectly happy to stay in the kitchen!)

Getting home was a bit tough. The club road had washed badly - 12" ruts and pot holes big enough to lose your car in. My little Crosstrek is a trooper though & we wiggled in between the worst of the ruts! The big fancy pickups in front of me weren't so lucky!

I didn't realize the shoot lasted thru Sunday so I was there all day again yesterday. At least the weather was better... AND I was drawn twice for the volunteer raffle at the end of the shoot. Picked up a bottle of barrel proof Traveller Whiskey the 1st time and told them to "draw again & share the love" when my name came out the 2nd time!

This morning, I'm taking it easy. Need to go to town but I'm nursing either an extreme allergy attack of the beginnings of an ugly cold. Hope/pray it's "just" allergies. Eyes are swollen to the point where I can't wear my contacts. Nose is running & I can't stop sneezing & coughing... I always worry since the meds I'm on screw up my immune system....

BUT... this afternoon my bug guy is supposed to be here to treat the house & garage again. Tomorrow, I take Freddie to be groomed by the new lady. Cross your fingers that it goes well! Wednesday I'm meeting a friend in town for lunch & to go to the Southern Olive. And I'll be working on stuff for the next shoot every day, fine tuning the menus & setting up shopping lists.
