As for Ranger, he may be just a BIT overweight - OR he could just be a fully MATURE GSD. (In Belgians, they call it "coarsening" when they fully mature and their body structure changes to a more blocky, chunky looking structure.)

I've noticed Sebastian getting "heftier" looking over the past year or so but as of his last vet visit, he's still at a healthy weight. Which surprised our vet because he says most dogs gain over the winter...

Only way to know for sure is to get a weight check on him. Our vet will let you bring pets in & use their scales for free if you just call & ask. Might be easier (and a heckuva lot less expensive) than an appointment.
