They're absolutely overwhelmed with animals right now because people a) still refuse to spay/neuture b) want stuffed animals instead of living independent creatures and c) it's gotten so expensive.

Every week, there's soemone on the local community pages begging for money so they can take their pet to the vet.

Sebastian & Freddie are my last big dogs. Anything after them will be either a small dog or a Maine Coon cat. (T & Meg are doing their best to sell me on the joys of cats & I've gotta admit, their Apple & Papaya are starting to grow on me!)
