Imagine his chagrin when he came back more Scottish than me and I came back more German than him!
We both wondered where the Cherokee went though. He always assumed he was part Cherokee due to where his family came from & the appearance of many of his aunts & uncles.
And I grew up hearing my mom tell about her grandmother who was a little tiny Cherokee lady married to a big red-bearded Irishman. DNA says either she made those stories up - which is definitely possible since if her lips were moving, 99% of the time she wasn't telling the truth - or someone was sneakin' around back then!!!!!
