Not happy about all the bloodwork he's been putting me through on a regular basis either - I'm tried of being a danged pincushion!
Yes, my bloodwork was out of whack for about 9 months last year after months of no sleep, living off of fast food & sandwiches when I remembered to eat at all, and dealing with hubby's sickness & death & all the other fiascos that happened last year (almost losing my daughter & grandson, the basement flooding & starting to collapse, the contractor trying to rip me off, etc.). But it's been coming back into line ever since I started getting my s*** back together WITHOUT all the meds he keeps insisting that I need to be on! My A1C is back in the normal range and my cholesterol is down more than 20 points (and still dropping).
Darned fool just can't wrap his head around the idea that an older fat woman might actually be fairly healthy (except for the arthrits & screwed up tendons)!
(And this is after he refused to believe that I was given a 10 year "free pass" on colonoscopies and argued with me til I went on & had one done two years early. I'd have loved to have seen his face when he got the report from that, giving me another 10 year "free pass" before I need another one!)
p.s. On the positive side, I finished up just after lunch which gave me a chance to check a mediterranean grill in Lex. It was pretty good. And it's hard to find a full plate lunch for under $10 anywhere nowadays. I had a "Kafka Kabob" platter which came with a lamb kabob, hummus, baba ghanouj - normally comes with a salad but I subbed the baba ghannouj because I wanted to try it, stuffed grape leave, rice, and some roasted veggies. Yum! Oh and it came with a large piece of flatbread too - but I didn't eat it due to the carbs.
