I know we have to really be on top of keeping him busy and exercised. We managed to do pretty well with it. The neighbors in back get frustrated with him when he sounds so vicious. But to his defense we keep him fenced off from a large portion of their yard, but they let their dogs come over to the only side he can get to and get right in his face. We only let him out there to go potty now. (Oh my gosh, that dog yard was horrible to get cleaned up but thankfully is done now)
We had even cleaned a lot of it during the snows we had.
