Ranger was so itchy last summer especially on his stomach area. I used Apoquel sparingly because can affect their immune system. I had seen tiny white worm segments in his stool but a test didn't show anything but I insisted on getting him worm treatment. They wanted to just to tapeworm but I asked for a general wormer. For some reason after that it took care of the itching. I have used K9 advantix for years after Bluburd told me about it so I was surprised he had tapeworms but there is a lot of wildlife in his yard. I wish our vet would use Interceptor instead of Heartguard plus because it takes care of more kinds of worms and I am worried about HG causing seizures as in some Shepherds. I have thought about changing to Proheart 6 injections but just not sure of it.
