when I finally made it out of the house (after 9 days snow bound), I spent more on foods for the dogs & wild birds than I did on food for myself???

Man, it was good to get out! My driveway is horrible - even the Dogmobile was spinning - and the road isn't a whole lot better but I made it to Tractor Supply (they havne't even tried to clear the turn lanes off of 127 so THAT was "interesting") and Kroger.

They're predicting another storm rolling in Tuesday night and I've got the repair guy coming to look at the heat pump that afternoon. Think I'll go walkabout tomorrow just to be out of the house for awhile before getting shut in again!

p.s. Could use prayers for two good friends. One has been on a ventilator for most of the past month. They aren't sure what happened. Her daughter found her unresponsive. It's not sounding good. Lungs are too weak. There are cardiac issues. And her kidneys are failing... She's younger than me. (Her husband was one of John's best friends. We lost him to cancer about 12 years ago.)

Another friend, a young guy, went for a routine colonoscopy and they found cancer... and the surrounding lymph nodes don't look good. He goes for surgery mid-march. Rough situation. He's a minimum wage worker & has nothing to fall back on after the surgery. And if it's spread like it sounds like it has.... his odds aren't good.
