Kona is where I grew up & where my family still lives.

In the video, it talks about WH Potter (my great grandfather), the "Daniel Boone tree" that was on the family farm, and Martin Van Buren Bates (the "KY River Giant" - my family home was built in the middle of what was originally his orchard & was surrounded by some of his original trees).

It mentions the big railroad cut below Kona which divided my family's farm & is now my nephew's driveway and even the Martha Jane Potter school.

MJP School was built next door to WH Potter's home on property my great grandmother donated for that purpose. (I could see it from my bedroom window & walked to school all 8 years that I went there. Just down thru our yard & across the railroad tracks onto the school property.) WH Potter's family home (where my grandmother & her whole horde of siblings was raised) was used as the school libary, special education rooms, bandroom, and athetic room up thru the 1980's and the school was named after my Great Aunt Martha who was the 1st female school superintendent in Kentucky.
