In the next week or so, I'm going out looking for a Christmas present for myself. A new .22 semi auto for target competitions. I have 3 or 4 that I want to hold "hands on" (and depending on where I go, maybe test fire) and I already know I'll be spitting mad by the time I'm done.

There's only ONE gun shop in central KY that is accepting/supportive of armed women. And sadly, they have the smallest selection on hand.

So I'll end up having to go deal with misogynistic a**holes to get my hands on the pistols I'm interested in.

And then I'll tell them "I've got to think about it" and head to Centerfire so they can order the one I choose for me! Take that, stupid men!!!!!

p.s. We had a guy show up yesterday while we were processing club membership renewals who wanted us to sign off on his application for new membership. None of us knew him & told him "no" so he started mouthing off about how he came to all the open trap shoots & knew so many people, yadda yadda yadda. My friend who just happens to be a national sporting clays champion who is at EVERY open trap shoot said "That's funny. I've never seen you out here before." The guy smirked at her & said "Well, how would a WOMAN know who shows up at the trap shoots?" YOU COULD HAVE HEARD A PIN DROP. And then the rest of us burst into hysterical laughter. One of the guys finally managed to go "Son, she knows more about trap shooting than you'll ever learn in your life! And none of us are gonna vouch for you because you just proved yourself to be a liar..." The guy pretty much ran for the door at that!
