It should have lasted longer than that for upwards of $300... (It's out of warranty, they no longer make the parts to fix it, and aftermarket/used parts for what we THINK might have been problem were upwards of $100 and no guarantee that they'd even work.)

Hint: I do NOT recommend Shark robot vacuums to anyone! They're a pain in the hindquarters & they don't hold up....

We'll see how the replacement (a Eufy L60) does. So far, it's 50/50. It sucks like there's no tomorrow - better than the Shark or my old Neato ever did, whehter on hardwood or low carpet - and it doesn't get hung up going over thresholds. But... the brush roller is a LOT smaller than on the other machines & I've already had to cut the hair off it once (at great risk to my fingertips) even though it's supposed to have a hair cutter built into it.
