A couple of Kate & Matt's friends.... They have a 3 year old and she just went into labor this morning with their latest. Two months ago, the husband was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. He's already had surgery removing a good chunk of his colon but it's already spread to his liver. He flew out to MD Anderson last week and they started him on something (not sure if chemo or immunotherapy) and he flew back here Wednesday. Thursday he started reacting badly to the medication and had to be hospitalized. So he & his wife are in the same hospital - he in the cancer unit with an extremely bad prognosis and her in labor & delivery. A neighbor is taking care of their 3 year old until his mother can fly in from Minnesota....

As horrific as the past 2 years have been, I can't even begin to imagine how awful this is for them... I just can't.
