The good:

We had a blast touring a couple of distilleries (highly recommend Wild Turkey - do NOT recommend Buffalo Trace now) and taking a boat ride/tour of Frankfort complete with a history of the bourbon industry. Next time we try this, we're going to head towards the distilleries in Bardstown & end the day at an amazing seafood place down there.

The bad:

First night here, my brother got hit with a gout attack and was in gosh-awful pain. And of course he hdn't brought his medication for it with him. We iced him all night & kept feeing him advil and dark cherry juice and he was able to hobble thru the tours. And he says he had a good time! And I know he enjoyed a couple of the meals we had. There's a little restaurant here called Bluegrass Sabor and another called Heavens 2 Betsy and he and Karen both went on & on about how good the food was.

And in the meantime, the house issues continue... Main contractor fell in a hole her team had dug yesterday & had to be taken out by ambulance becasue they thought her leg was broken. And then last night, I noticed a freezer was unplugged and when I went to plug it in, sparks started flying every which way out of the outlet so I hda to call them to come back in last night and fix that. They also haven't been able to pour the concrete footers for the front porch due to the weather. They'd like to today but it's not sounding good. Go figure. We have a solid dry MONTH with no rain & as soon as they need to pour concrete, ti starts raining... SO.... the endless hosue saga continues....
