Apparently she has some teeth that are cracked. I have to wonder how that happens - I was not giving her bones? but she has had some in the past.
There were more teeth that they said have some kind of pocketing happening between the guns and teeth that usually means pulling the teeth but were not deemed bad enough to pull.
She has some kind of growths happening on her gums that kind of like little pimples. They are harmless but can grow big enough to get in the way of chewing - none are bad enough right now - but are likely going to be problems in the future.
I am sad for her, and embarrassed that I have allowed her teeth to get that bad. She is only 8 years old!
Hubby is saying she is a neglected pet.
They are telling me to brush her teeth 2 x a day. Who does that? seriously? But I guess I need to do something cause this is awful!
The other SAD thing is because of anesthetic she was unable to eat or drink after 10 pm. turns out she didn't get in until way after lunch. So she would have been so thirsty and hungry by that time. And because of so many extractions of such major teeth - she was out on the table a long time. I went to pick her up at 4:30 and she was still on the table. They called me at 5:30 as she was just waking up. I didn't get her until 7:15.
She came home and did seem hungry and did eat and drink but could keep nothing down. She puked up everything she at and drank all evening. She bled on the carpet and continued to puke in the bedroom during the night (cleaned that up last night after work)
So, I am sick to my stomach about all of this.
