One of John's coworkers has a 20 year old son. He (the son) bought our old truck & we were so impressed with him. He was getting ready to graduate & had been accepted into a diesel mechanics program in Ohio & was all excited about it. Super nice kid. Friendly. Smart. Driven.

I don't know what happened...

I heard thru the grapevine that he'd dropped out of the diesel program & was working as a janitor. That just didn't make sense until today.

I had an old Christmas tree that I needed out of teh way so I put it on Marketplace for Free. "B" responded & asked if he and his girlfriend could have it. I was like "Sure, c'mon!"

And now I understand.

He's on meth. He was mostly straight when he was here but his face is covered with meth ulcers. And his girlfriend was stoned out of her mind.

His parents are wonderful people. I can't imagine being in their position right now.
