4# of peeled & deveined shrimp, 2# of those little potatoes cut in halves, 4 ears of corn cut into halves, 2# of polish sausage cut into chunks, 1 large onion, 3 lemons cut in half, a bunch of garlic, a whole lot of old bay seasoning, a bottle of beer, and a bunch of water. Use a big pot. We used a stainless steel 23 quart hot water bath canner. Start with the beer & water. Add in the onion & garlic & old bay. Bring it to a boil. Add in the potatoes. Bring it back to a boil & cook for around 10-12 minutes. Add corn & polish sausage & boil about 5 minutes. Add shrimp & boil about 3 minutes. Strain all the goodies out onto a big tray or even bigger bowl (we ended up using the bowl above plus a half sheet tray). Serve with additional old bay & squeeze the lemons over everything. Can also mix some old bay with melted butter & pour over it if you'd like. (We skipped the butter.) Wish we'd had some mud bugs to toss in to make it more authentic..... WARNING: If you're doing a big batch like this, you might want to cook it outside. We didn't think of that & the boiling spices had us all sneezing & snorting worse than a herd of buffalo!
