Years and years ago, I planted a clematis vine on the side of the house and it flowered maybe for two or three years, then after that, just leaves, no flowers. There's just not enough sunlight anymore - the trees are too tall and they don't let the light through.

I was surprised to see two buds on it this year. It should have MANY buds, but I'll take the two - it's better than nothing!
