A young man here (just graduated from high school) had one go off early yesterday and lost most of his hand. They're hoping they can save PART of his thumb.... he also has significant chest & facial injuries.

Scary!!!!

ON the brighter side, my friend's little boy who had appendicitis finally got to go home yesterday. He's still on antibiotics (but at least they're oral) and they have to keep a close eye on him and follow up every week but at least he's home!
