Yikes!!!!

Something hit here at ome too while we were gone. I'm just about a mile from the club (as the crow flies, a heckuva farther by road) and they were setting up for today's shoot when it hit and a HUGE tree toppled over and crushed a guy's car. We're just lucky no one was injured but it'll be "interesting" to see who's insurance ends up biting it on this one. The car was completely destroyed....

And they're predicting more storms this afternoon. They started the competition at 7:30 this morning in hopes they can get everyone through for the day before all heck breaks loose this afternoon. (I don't know if people shoot multiple times or what but there are 421 registered shooters at this event - with walk ins expected.)

I spent my morning putting together lunch boxes. 53 of 'em to be precise. That's MOST of the volunteers working too. Some of us had to leave before lunch so we didn't fix for ourselves. Folks left their written orders & we fixed them accordingly. They had their choices of:

White or Wheet Bread
Ham, smoked turkey, or smoked bologna
White American, Swiss or sharp cheddar cheese
Lettuce, tomato & onion
Plain chips or Doritos
Oreos or Choc Chip Cookies and
Grapes or Apples

We made up all the boxes to order with folks' names marked on the top of the boxes in the big commercial frig. Someone else will get to divvy them out at lunchtime....

And, if I don't go to L'ville to hang with the kids tomorrw (and I really don't want to), I'll be doing the same thing again tomorrow....
