I remember as a kid, they had to "pull" the well at our house for some reason and drill it deeper. Memories are kinda hazy but I remember being shipped off to my grandmother's because we had no water for over a week.

I also remember how awful city water tasted to me after growing up on well water.

They hooked onto city water when I was in college.
