It's the same thing almost every night.... I try to make myself stay awake as long as possible but start dozing off on the couch/in a chair by 9:30. Fight it until usually 10:30 or so & then go to bed. And my eyes immediately pop open and I'm wide awake.
I've tried switching from the bed to the couch. Same thing.
I'm usually back up by midnight & stay up reading or watching TV until around 1 & then try again. Usually I'll doze off then for maybe 45 minutes to an hour & then I'm back up. Back down for another 45 mintues to an hour. Repeat. Until around 4 to 4:30 when I wake up & never make it back to sleep until I give up and get up around 6:30.
I've tried everything from herbal to CBD to prescription medications and nothing has helped. And it's not memories or thoughts or whatever keeping me awake (usually, occasionally they hit but that's normal) - I just can't go to or stay asleep.....
