So... the meeting with Social Security went well. I won't get anything until after I hit 60 but it's still a nice surprise.

BUT... I stopped at the T mobile store on the way home because my phone's been acting up. Not wanting to hold a charge. Won't communicate with the Android Auto app in my car. Getting really hot when charging (if it'll charge at all - sometimes it won't). a) They can't fix it. b) Have you looked at the price of phones lately? Holy crap!!!! And after I got home to research, all of the new ones have crappier details (battery, camera, etc.) than the one that's acting up. Even T tried looking & everything out there is worse than his phone which is more than 6 years old & was "bottom of the barrel" then. WHY IS TECHNOLOGY SUDDENLY GOING BACKWARDS?????

And... then I got home& was taking some stuff down to the basement when our radon abatement system monitor caught my eye. The levels have always been high on the left side of the monitor and low on the right. Today, they're dead flat across the bottom. And upon investigating, the fan that runs the whole system is DEAD. I don't even wanna know what that's gonna cost to fix. I had to call 4 different places before I could even find someone willing to come out here... (All of the radon abatement services are big city based - either Lex or L'ville - and it's not worth their $$$ to come out ot the country.)

On the positive side, one of our archery kids came & mowed the yard for me. He just got a new zero turn & his wife (another archery kid - her dad was my good friend who committed suicide a few years ago after his wife walked out on him) told him he has to pick up a few yards to help pay it off. LOL! He asked for about half what the other folks were wanting & I was glad to pay it. He doesn't even want a contract - just for me to call him whenever I want it mowed which will be nice in late summer when we roll into drought & everything stops growing...

Probalby won't be around tomorrow. Helping cook for a wild game dinner tomorrow night & it's gonna be tough because the refrigerator in the club house has gone kaput. We lost all kinds of stuff. Another member of the kitchen committee is out there now, trying to make a list of everything we'll need to pull tomorrow off. (If it hadn't already been postponed since January, we'd just call in pizza this month & do the Wild Game dinner some other time....)
