Do you know how much they charge to mow yards nowadays?!?!?!?!?

I need to get someone to mow JUST the main yard area (in front of the house, over to the garage, and around the back). NOT the fields. Just the main area.

So far, the lowest quote I've gotten has been $70/week. And it wasn't guaranteed. The guy said "it might be more if it took longer than he thought to mow...." WHAT?!?!?!?!?!? $280/month to get the yard mowed 4 times????

The next guy wanted $100 a week.

One guy said it wasn't worth hitching his truck up for less than $50 and then the mowing would be on top of that.

Two others said that we were "too far out" (I'm less than 3 miles from town - close enough that I can hear the high school band practice) for them to make money coming out here.

One of my archery kids came out this morning & took a look at it. He'll get back with me later about a price. Fingers crossed!

Otherwise, I'm going to have to learn to run a zero turn mower!!!!!
