with the plastic cone, you could take a hand towel or wash cloth and tape it somehow around the edge to make it a bit softer? Or I wonder how pieces of a smaller pool noodle would work attached to the edge,
I remember one of the greyhounds getting so freaked out when we put a cone on her.
I guess we were fortunate with Ranger when the donut worked ok for him.
