I'm feeling a lot more comfortable with where things are headed at this point. Got my first payment from John's retirement from the state & it was significantly more than expected. I can live on it alone fairly easily and eventually there will be additional amounts coming in monthly from his Citibank pension and his Social Security.

All of his life insurance claims have cleared, including one thru his work that I didn't even know about, so I've got the money to have the work on the house done without stressing (and will have plenty left over to sock back for emergencies).

And for now at least, I can keep the farm & can honor John's wishes by gifting the truck (which still has less than 8000 miles on it) to Travis.

And I have health insurance again. Thank God! That had me scared...
