He was under KY Teachers Retirement (KTRS) and they keep sending me stuff for KY Retirement (KRS). VERY BIG DIFFERENCE!!!!

Supposedly, a packet with everything I need to reinstate insurance & proceed with retiring his account and claiming his pension & unused leave payouts went in the mail this morning. We shall see....

And I thought that with all the work we did in advance, this would be the easy part. Hah!!!!

Dealing with two life insurance policies, a 401K, a deferred compensation account, multiple bank accounts, and several investment accounts has been easy peasy. Folks couldn't have been more helpful.

But THIS???? It's a nightmare. Kate (who is also a state employee - but KRS, not KTRS) says that they're goal is to confuse people to the point that they just give up. That's not gonna happen here, folks!
