and while nothing was seen of any significance at the vet's, they send the pictures out for an expert (I guess) to examine. My vet called this morning and he said it's BPH, which is benign prostatic hyperplasia, a non-cancerous enlargement of the prostate gland in intact male dogs, often caused by excessive testosterone, and can lead to various symptoms. I should have already had him neutered, but I didn't.
Surgery date is April 24. Not looking forward to this, but it has to be done. I'm going to buy one of those surgery shirts for him.
