So, what I have is called De Quervain's Tenosynovitis, aka Radial Styloid Tenosynovitis aka Mommy's (or Mother's) Thumb. Pretty common but not as common as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. I got a steroid shot in both wrists. Supposed to start working in 3 days but take FIVE WEEKS for full effect! Five weeks seems like a lot. 80% of peole are cured with one shot but others could need another shot or, worse case scenario.......surgery. I'm hoping this shot will do the trick. The shots HURT!! I also have the beginning of Dupuytren's Contracture in both hands. It's not affecting my fingers as of yet and hopefully it won't.
