He had Owen in stitches Saturday. Matt was dangling Owen upside down & Sebastian was washing his whole face/head. lol! You should have heard the squeals!!!
And if Owen is crying, Sebastian comes running to see what happened to "the little". He just LOVES littles. Always has.
God, what an awful/wonderful weekend we had...
John had a rough one... His back is hurting him so bad & not even vicodin + extended release morphine is giving him much relief. (And the morphine makes him dizzy which increases his nausea....)
But Saturday, all the kids came in & we had family photos done. Kate had won a 1 hour photo session with one of the better photographers in the area at an auction & decided to use it for all of us. Y'all, those pics are going to be so priceless in the coming years..... The venue was really cold though & the cold set Johns's back off BAD so he was just miserable...
Afterwards, everyone was coming back over to the house so I stopped in at Kroger & grabbed a couple 2# bags of shrimp, some bagged salad, and a big loaf of Italian bread. 45 minutes later I had shrimp scampi for 7 people on the table. (I done good if I do say so!) We all ate until we were stuffed - even hubby!!!!
Sunday he was in bad BAD shape. The pain was worse & so were the side effects from the morphine... The kids helped with him while I got breakfast going for everyone (homemade biscuits & gravy) and prepped for lunch (million dollar spaghetti for 9 people). Mid-morning my brother & his wife drove in from EKY. They hadn't seen John in about 8 months & you could see the shock on their faces.... :-( John was able to visit a little with them but had to go lay down & it broke his heart.
It was good having everyone here. **I** needed it. But eventually they all had to leave & hubby and I were both asleep before 6:00 last night....
He's still in horrible pain this morning & somehow I've got to get him to his radiology appointment in Lexington this afternoon. This is the only time I wish I had one of those funky conversion vans with a bed in the rear end.... We'll make it somehow though & hopefully they can get the radiation on his back going soon so he can get some relief.
Tomorrow he hopefully starts the infusions of the two new immunotherapy drugs that are currently his only hope. Some of his bloodwork from last week concerns me & I can only pray that it doesn't knock him out of being able to get the infusions.
