I'm going to put weird characters in here so they don't pop up on a search & get me in trouble...

My dad was J@me$ P0tter Mc@uley. My brother is J@me$ P0tter Mc@uley II. My nephew is J@me$ R0bert Mc@uley.

And my nephew is the only male in our branch carrying the Mc@uley name. And his wife said NO MORE BABIES after their 2nd girl.

So we figured our branch was effectively PRUNED.

Maybe. Maybe not.

Seems my nephew's daughter is in the process of transitioning to male (don't get me started, I don't understand it but it's family) and his new chosen name is J@me$ El! Mc@uley.

So... he's keeping the name J@me$ Mc@uley going AND assuming he & whoever his future partner may be decide to adopt (or visit a sperm bank or however that's done), in theory any offspring would bear the Mc@uley name.

Strange times we live in, huh?????
