Got lots of hugs & offers of assistance including from a retired nurse (you remember the lady who was bawling on my shoulder over my potato salad???) who informed me that she's still certified & if John needs ANYTHING, all I have to do is call & she'll be there as fast as she can drive.

And the cornbread & choc chip cookes were ravaged FAST. I managed to snag 4 cookies (2 for me & 2 to bring back home for John) but the cornbread pan was empty in a hurry. 54 corn bread muffins gone in a heartbeat! And there were less than 25 people at the meeting last night.... Thank goodness we didn't have a larger crowd!

On the way home, I saw the cutest thing... a small possum was out in the middle of the road about half a mile from the house. I stopped to let him get out of the way & I'd never noticed how darned cute those little boogers are!!! All twitchy nose & cute little pink feet flopping out to the sides & as he waddled away! Now I get it why my friend who used to do animal rescue's favorites were the possums...
